Become a member
This contest will be decided by the membership—one member, one vote, preferential ballot—at the NDP Leadership convention in June. As a voting member, you can help shape the future of the NDP in this important contest.
This campaign has no big money behind it. Neither Ryan nor his supporters are particularly wealthy. This campaign will only succeed with the generous assistance of a large number of people. Your donation, no matter how small, will go a long ways.

The candidate is only one aspect of this contest. The real campaign is you – reaching out to friends and neighbours, sharing your ideas, and promoting the campaign in your community.
Each community organizer commits to:
- Recruit 10 new members.
- Ask people to take action for what they believe in.
- Promote progressive policy positions.
- Keep it fun.
- Ensure that at the end of the campaign no one is left wondering: “Why didn’t they ask me to get involved”?
